Are you Building a Financial Plan for your Future?

No, I am not a financial advisor but I did work in the financial industry for over twelve years and I learned a lot. To me, the most important lesson that anyone can tell you is to  “Have a Plan” for the future. Maybe its saving for a new house, purchasing a new vehicle, planning for vacation, your children’s education, wedding, or knowing that retirement is around the corner – you need a plan.

My husband and I both retired on the exact same date July 1, 2016. We were both working at good jobs so it was a difficult decision. We discussed the thought of giving up our salaries and we certainly did not want to be bored so we asked ourselves many times “when is the right time” to retire.  Our dreams of retirement was exciting and our health was still good and with the help of our financial planner we decided to just do it!

We created a plan and over the course of a few years finally achieved our goal of retirement.
